What does the Try & Buy program provide?

The program provides customers with the opportunity to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of Symantec Mail Security 8300 appliances over a 30-day period.  The customer is not committed to purchase the appliance: during the 30-day trial period, the customer can decide whether to purchase the appliance or return the appliance to Symantec.

Symantec offers a guarantee that if the Symantec Mail Security 8300 appliance fails to meet customer expectations during the trial period, then the box can be returned and no charges will be made for the appliance.

• The major advantage of “Try & Buy” over the Demo Unit program is that the customer gets to keep the evaluation appliance: there’s no disruption, from testing to production.
• The program is being run as a pilot until March 31, 2008, in the following countries only: Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
• A brand-new appliance, shipped with carriage costs paid by Symantec.
• Symantec Partners specialising in messaging security can help install the appliance and provide expertise throughout a 30-day trial.
• Subject to approval and acceptance of Symantec’s terms and conditions.
